*Due to our remote location, nature and weather can affect our schedule and hours of operation. Calling ahead to make reservations (especially for large parties) helps us prepare for your arrival and better acomodate your group. You, our patron, is what's most important to us and we'd like to make your stay with us as simple, comfortable and relaxing as possible.

The Winter Season (Dec-Mar) here is abustle with hunters, ice fishers, snowshoers and snowmobilers. The breathtaking views abound. During the winter season, the restaurant at Stillwater is open 7 days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hours are 8:30AM-9:00PM Monday-Saturday, 8:30AM - 5:30PM Sunday.

Spring (Mar-Apr) is a peaceful time of year in the Adirondacks; nature begins to awaken and we find ourselves energized by longer days, warmer weather and thoughs of wearing shorts again! This transition to warmer weather affords us an opportunity to do some “Spring Cleaning” here at Stillwater while we wait for the ice and snow to melt and a busy outdoor season to begin.

Stillwater is typically closed for the month of April to prepare the hotel and restaurant for the coming summer season.

Summer and Fall (May-Oct) at Stillwater are enjoyed by many boaters, anglers, campers and the like. The Restaurant at Stillwater is open on weekends (Friday lunch - Sunday dinner) from the first weekend in May through Labor Day weekend.
Between Father's Day and Labor Day, we are also open on weekdays for lunch and dinner. If you would like breakfast during the week, please call us the night before to make reservations and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Fall (Labor Day-Nov21) The Restaurant at Stillwater is open Friday - Sunday for lunch and dinner during the fall. We are also serving brunch now through peak leaf season, 8:30 - 3:30 (photo on right by Mike Greenlar). If you're looking for accomodations during the week, please give us a call.

Late Fall to Early Winter (Nov-Dec) is traditionally a slow time here at Stillwater; summer has passed and snowmobile season has not yet arrived. This is the time of year when nature and man are slowed by shorter days and cooler weather. This is also a good time for Joe and I to catch up on visits with family and friends.

Stillwater Hotel and restaurant is typically close for 3-4 weeks during this time. This year, we've planned our autumnal endeavors, and will be closed between November 21st and December 14th - we will re-open Thursday, Dec 15.
